Scores of people have been killed by floods unleashed by torrential rains across the countryin Khyber Paktunkhwa and tribal areas. President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of life and property due to floods in Khyber Pukhtunkhwah as well as in some other parts of the country. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani told Senate that the government would shortly devise a national policy on terrorism after consultation with all political forces. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that dialogue is the only way forward to resolve disputes between Pakistan and India. Saudi King Abdullah has held talks with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in Damascus on the eve of a joint mission to Lebanon aimed at containing political tensions there. Four Iraqi soldiers and two civilians were killed and 34 people wounded in bomb attacks in northern and Central Iraq .
