The Israeli army has arrested Speaker of Palestinian Legislative Council‚ Aziz Dweik‚ in the West Bank.
Dweik‚ who is a senior member of Hamas group‚ was arrested at an army checkpoint. Israel has confirmed the arrest and said that Dweik was arrested for involvement in terrorist activities.
