In Afghanistan, five civilians and a Canadian soldier have been killed in continued violence.
A roadside bomb apparently intended for afghan soldiers blew up a vehicle of labourers headed to grape fields in Kandahar, killing five of the men.The blast occurred in Zhari, the same area where a Canadian soldier was killed in an attack. The bomb had been planted about 200 metres from a small Afghan army base. A number of soldiers in the nearly 40-nation international security assistance force were wounded in ambushes in the province of Kapisa.
