The ruling coalition's committee has completed draft charge sheet about the impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf and it has been submitted to ministry of law for technical consultation.
Talking to media after a meeting of the drafting committee in Islamabad, minister for information and broadcasting Sherry Rahman said that later the draft will be submitted to the leadership of the coalition parties for approval. The information minister pointed out that the four provincial assemblies have already passed resolutions demanding of the president to seek vote of confidence or resign. She said it is a clear verdict of the people that they are in favour of impeachment and want to see a true democratic and prosperous country. Federal education minister and information secretary PML-N Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal told the media that the draft is a historic document.
In reply to a question, he said the political crisis is the creation of the president and in this connection the president’s allegation against PML-N Quaid Mian Mohammed Nawaz Sharif is baseless.
