Advisor on interior Rehman Malik has said that no compromise will be made on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
Addressing a news conference in Peshawar he said militants would not be allowed to fulfill their nefarious designs and destabilize the country. He said that operation against the militants would continue till complete elimination of militancy from Bajaur Agency and swat. The advisor announced that those who took part in action against the militants in Buner would be provided five hundred thousand rupees each besides a Kalashinkov rifle as a reward.
NWFP governor Owais Ahmad Ghani said on the occasion that action against militants in Bajaur agency was taken after taking local elders into confidence. The NWFP chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said eight relief camps have been established at dir and Malakand for internally displaced people of Bajaur Agency.
