Lahore High Court suspends the one and a half year ban, barring Shoaib Akhtar from playing international matches, imposed by Pakistan Cricket Board’s appellate tribunal.
Lahore High Court has suspended one and a half year ban for playing international matches imposed on Shoaib Akhtar by Pakistan cricket board’s appellate tribunal, however, fine of Rs. Seven Milllion will remain intact. Shoaib is also allowed to play cricket till the announcement of final verdict of the writ. Following the ban, Akhtar had filed a petition at Lahore High Court seeking permission to play ongoing matches, and termination of his banning order by PCB. The court had stayed the PCB verdict and was hearing the case that was completed early today.
