In Occupied Kashmir, eight Indian troops including a lieutenant colonel were killed in two separate attacks.

A party of Indian troops was attacked at Watsar in Kishtwar in which seven troops including a colonel and a major were killed. Another trooper was killed in a grenade attack near civil secretariat building in Srinagar.
Two troopers committed suicide, one by shooting himself with his service rifle at Deolmarg in Reasl while another by consuming some poisonous substance at Zangam in Lolab.
Dead body of a missing civilian was recovered from an orchard at ram Garh in Kulgam. Twelve persons were critically injured in a bomb blast in Baramula town.
Addressing a delegate session in Pulwama, leaders of APCH including chairman Mirwaiz Omar Farooq, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Shaikh Abdul Aziz, Fazl Haq Qureshi and Nayeem Ahmed Khan cautioned India against changing the demographic composition of occupied Kashmir by settling non state subjects in the territory. They emphasized that Kashmiris would not remain silent over the illegal transfer of Forestlan to the Shri Amarnath shrine board.
On the occasion, the APHC leaders announced to launch an agitation against the move. Senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, addressing a seminar in Srinagar said that India was pursuing Israeli strategy to change the majority of occupied Kashmir into minority. On the other hand, thousands of employees staged protest demonstration against puppet regime’s anti-people policies in Kargil town.
