A helicopter carrying firefighters to a northern California blaze crashed, with nine people believed Dead.
Federal aviation administration spokesman Ian Geroge said that four others aboard the aircraft were critically burned in the crash about 35 miles northwest of redding in remote terrain.
The helicopter, with a two-person crew and 11 firefighters aboard, crashed under unknown circumstances. Governer Arnold Chwarzenegger said at a news conference ‘this is a Faa and national transportation safety board investigators were on their way to the scene of the crash.
