In Occupied Kashmir, massive protest demonstration marked with complete shut down were held in Srinagar and several other towns and cities against anti-Muslim outrage and economic blockade by Hindu zealots of Jammu.

Thousands of people spontaneously took to the streets in Nowhatta, Habba Kadal, Lal Chowk, khanyar, karfali mohalla, nawab bazar, zaina Kadal and Chanpora areas of Srinagar, raising anti-India and pro-liberation slogans. Tension was stoked by the death of an innocent youth was hit by a police tear gas shell in Srinagar, yesterday. Hundreds of people were injured in day long pitched clashes between the protesters and Indian troops, who used teargas and batons to disperse the Proters. An Indian trooper committed suicide by shooting himself with his own service rifle in rajouri, taking the death toll of such killings among the troops to one hundred and five since January 2007.
