In Occupied Kashmir, complete strike was observed today to protest against the anti-Muslim riots and economic blockade by Hindu communal groups of Jammu.
According to Kashmir media service, all shops, business establishments, educational institutions, courts, banks, government and semi-government offices remained closed and traffic was off the roads in all towns and cities of the occupied territory.The puppet authorities had deployed heavy contingent of paramilitary force and police personnel at Rajouri Kadal, Nowhatta, Buhri Kadal, Zaina Kadal, Fateh Kadal, Khanyar, Qamarwari and Safa Kadal in Srinagar. senior Kashmiri Hurriyet Leader, Syed Ali Gilani and Senior APHC Leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah were put under house arrest.
The fast unto death by the chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir liberation front, Mohammad Yasin Malik at Maisuma in Srinagar entered second day against the excesses of Hindu extremists of Jammu on Muslims.
