Jamaican sprinter and world's fastest man in the 100 metres Usain Bolt says he wants gold medal more than world records.

Bolt said at a news conference "the Olympic gold lasts longer than the world record because a person has to wait four more years really to be an Olympic gold medalist again, if i win this year, but a world record can go at any time, any place. The Olympic gold is more close to my heart than anything. Bolt will run both the 100 metres and 200 metres in Beijing. In May he set a new world record of 9.72 seconds in one of his first few professional outings at the shorter distance
