Chairman, Pakistan Kuwait investment company Saleh Ali Muraikhi, presented a cheque for 25 million rupees to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani for his flood relief fund.
The Prime Minister lauded the kind gesture of the international community that has come forward with assistance to help the flood affectees in Pakistan. He said damages caused by the unprecedented floods, was beyond our resources, therefore, assistance of international community was vital for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the flood affectees. The Prime Minister thanked the government of Kuwait for supporting Pakistan in these hard times. Mr. saleh conveyed the concerns of his government to the Prime Minister regarding large scale of devastation of life and property. Talking to the MD Pak-Suzuki, Hirofumi Nagao, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said the government has the will, resolve and ability to overcome the challenging situation emerged due to unprecedented floods across the country. Mr. Nagao called on the Prime Minister in Islamabad at the head of a delegation to handover 25 Suzuki vans along with 75 tents for the flood affectees. Commenting on the magnitude of floods damages, the Prime Minister said no nation can withstand such a big catastrophe single handedly. Mr. Hirofumi Nagao apprised the Prime Minister about various initiatives taken by Pak-Suzuki in collaboration with vendor and dealer association to help the flood affectees.
