Another round of talks between PPP Co-Chairman Senator Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N Qaid Mian Nawaz Sharif is underway at the Zardari house in Islamabad.
JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman is also attending the meeting. Khurshid Shah, Sherry Rahman, Farooq H Naik of PPP and Shahbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar and Ishaq Dar of PML-N are also attending. The coalition partners are discussing the issue of reinstatement of the deposed judges, the impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf, and the overall economic and political issues facing the country. The two sides held in-depth discussions on these issues in two rounds, before and after the lunch break.
Now the party leaders are holding consultations with their respective party members. The PPP and PML-N leadership also held talks for six hours yesterday and agreed to meet again today. The negotiations are considered to be crucial for the future of the ruling coalition.
