Sweden has assured support to Benazir Income Support Programme in serving underprivileged people of the country.
This has been stated by the Ambassador of Sweden in Pakistan Lars-Hjalmar Wide who called on Farzana Raja Chairperson of BISP in Islamabad. He said success of BISP‚ especially collection of data and reaching out to millions of beneficiary families is highly impressive. Chairperson BISP Farzana Raja said programme is playing a significant role in eradication of poverty. She said it is also contributing in curbing extremist and fundamentalist tendencies among youth by providing them income generation opportunities.
